Hon. Barr. Peter Chukwuneme Ezeobi is a committed and reliable legal practitioner who is determined in pursuing his dreams to a a logical end. Born on the 2nd day of October, 1963, to the family of Barr. Francis Ezeobi (KSM) and Lady Regina Ezeobi (LSM) of blessed memory in Oguta, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria -West Africa.

Young Peter started his early educational career at Holy Ghost College, Owerri, Imo State for his West African School Certificate (WASC). In quest for higher knowledge and in fulfillment of hid dreams, he attended the old Imo State University for his Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB Hons) (1987)l and Nigeria Law School, Lagos (1989).

On completion of his studies, Peter Ezeobi’s primary assignment took too as a Youth Corps Member in Maritime / Commercial Law Firm of Hon. F.A.U Okeke & Co., from 1988 – 1989. This pragmatic and very robust legal practitioner worked as an Associate partner in the law firm of F.U.Ezeobi & Co between 1989 and 2006 and later floated his own law firm named P.C. Ezeobi & Associates where he has been the Principal from 2006 to date.

Hon. Barr. Peter Ezeobi is engaged in all aspects of legal practices-litigation, Solicitorship, corporate practices and arbitration, he is currently the Imo State Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), and He was an erstwhile Legal Adviser to Oil Mineral Producing landlords Association, Imo State (OMPALAN); Director / Legal Adviser to Ark Petro –Chemical Company Ltd; Directo / Legal Adviser to Oguta International Energy Ltd; Chairman, Imo State Poverty Alleviation and Consumers Protection Network; A Member of Steering Committee of Think Tank Group on Delineation of Imo Sate as a Member of NDDC, held in Oguta 1990; Acting Supreme Advocate of the noble Order of Knight of Saint Mulumba Nigeria 2006 – 2012l Archdiocesan Legal Adviser of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri; Imo State Representative/commissioner on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) March 2012- August 2013.

During his short stay as the Imo State Representative/Commissioner on Board of the NDDC, Peter Ezeobi was by the abandonment of slow execution of the NDDC projects which led his state office to work tirelessly for the completion and commissioning of over 30 projects across Imo State. Some of the projects include the NDDC Mega prototype Hostel at Imo State University, Owerri-the 1st out of the 18 Hostels awarded in 9 Oil Producing State. He has equally attended and participated in some seminars and courses both  nationally and internationally to include, Training on Corporate and Good Governance in Kellog University, Illinois USA (2012; Law Training on Law Partnership as a Leader in a Legal Firm in Cambridge University, London (2012); Seminar of Law Practice Organized by LEEDAP and Society of England (1999). As example of an excellent contributor to the development of the nation, Hon. Barr. Peter Ezeobi has delivered several lectures and keynote addresses, notable among them are the keynote address presented to the Staff and Members of the House of Representatives on the Implementation of the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) in Abuja and a similar lecture to stake holders in the South-South Geo-Political Zone in 2012.

In demonstrating his philanthropic gestures, he has put smiles on the faces of over 350 physically challenged persons in Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta L.G.A of Imo State, when he made a lasting difference in their lives. In recognition of his humanitarian disposition, Hon. Barr. Ezeobi has received numerous awards and commendation which include, Appointed Ambassador for Peace of the United Nations-POLAC (2014); Award by the Imo State Physically Challenged Persons toward upliftment of the disabled (2014); Listed in the  compendium of Who is Who in Imo State, by GDC Company and Imo State Broadcasting Service (IBC), Owerri; Listed alongside Eminent Sons of Oguta in a boot titled “Abidge Across 987-027617 a Sociological Book in Oguta in South-Eastern Nigeria; Award of Africa Credibility Gold Award for Outstanding Contributions towards Community Development and Nation Building by Platinum Standard Publications Ltd; Award for Olu Oma (Good Work0 by Ndigbo magazine in appreciation of his acclaimed giant leadership strides, constibutions to the economic, political well being of the Nation and service to Humanity (2012); 1st Category Legacy Award in Leadership by Nigeria Union of Journalist (Imo State Chapter); Award in Recognition of Outstanding Contributions to the Infrastructural Development of FGGC, Owerri; Letter of Commendation from Federal Ministry of Education for Performance; Honoree Award by Nigerian Law School 88 Set; Award of a Pilar of the Owerri Archdiocesan Catholic Men Organization; Award of Excellence in professional Competence given by Holy Ghost College, Owerri Old Boy’s Association in recognition of his meritorious service to Nation and Alma Mater (2012). Naming a Hostel at St. Paul’s International Boys Secondary School, Federal Housing Estate, Egbu Road, Owerri in his name Peter Ezeobi Hostel; An Honoree Award in Enugu by the 1987/1998 Nigeria Law School Set (2013).

Peter Ezeobi was a former member of the Committee on African Cultural Heritage Vatican, Rome. He is a devout Catholic and a Knight of St. Mulumba (KSM). Some of his publications are: The Concept of Nuisance in the Law of Torts with particular reference to Noice; Co-edited a book titled Oguta-Path to follow in the Niger-Delta, Face of Fiction 2000; Article on the Place  of Human Rights (2012).

He is a well travelled gentleman, married to Lady Florence Chika Ezeobi and the marriage is blessed with six Children. His hobbies include contributing toward upliftment of the less privileged, watching International and Local News, enjoys stimulating debates, helping the needy and watching football etc.
